Upcoming Jerusalem Services

Kol Zimrah Jerusalem meets on the third Friday night of each month for a of joyous song-filled Kabbalat Shabbat accompanied by percussion and a potluck dinner. We meet in living rooms across Jerusalem. Could be in a living room near you.

We are a fully egalitarian participatory community. We use the full traditional liturgy. For more information please contact: KolZimrahJerusalem-owner@yahoogroups.com.

Kol Zimrah Davvening and Dinner: Friday, February 15th, 2008 - 5 pm @ Mercaz Ha'Magshimim (7a Dor Dor VeDorshav - near Hartman Institute)

We're back!

We'll be gathering again for prayer, song and good eatin'.

LOCATION: We'll be gathering at HaRav Berlin 24/5 (entrance on Brodi), 3 floors up, with a blue bird on the door

TIME? We'll begin at 5 pm.

BRING: A siddur, and an extra one to share, if you can.

THE POTLUCK: If you're staying for the potluck, bring your own plate and utensils, as well as something yummy to share! Please RSVP to Stephanie and tell her what you'll be bringing. She's at sehanna@gmail.com or 054-2043761. (If you forget to RSVP, come anyway with some food to share.) Figure it'll be a dish that can feed 6-8 people. Please remember to bring your own plate, fork, cup, and serving utensils! (We are environment-friendly!)

KASHRUT: Kol Zimrah acknowledges the diversity of kashrut practices in our community, and in order to ensure that everyone can contribute and everyone can eat, we are trying out a new system. Please bring one of the following types of food:
1) Vegetarian, with only vegetarian ingredients. (Fish with fins and scales is also ok as long as it is labeled or self-evident.)
2) Still vegetarian (plus fish, as above), and all ingredients are marked with a recognized kosher symbol cooked (if applicable) in a kosher kitchen which separates meat and dairy that uses only hechshered utensils.

There will be a separate buffet table for each category, so that everyone can be fully informed. Feel free to email if you have any questions.

FUTURE DATES FOR KOL ZIMRAH JERUSALEM: Mark your calendar now for this year's Kol Zimrah: February 15, March 14. The rest TBA.

*Bring a drum or other percussion to raise the ruach!

We'll take care of wine, challah, and drinks.
